This article explains how to set the sprint id value on performing the transition using the JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows app.

Instructions

The below scenario explains how to set the sprint id value on performing a create transition with the Update Any Issue Field post function and precondition using the JSU app:

  1. Ensure the field Sprint is associated with the respective project, screens, and have existing sprint value field as per the requirement.

  2. Navigate to Project settings > Workflow > Edit > Add post function > Update Any Issue Field (JSU) with below details:

  3. Navigate to Project settings > Workflow > Edit > Add post function > Precondition Value Field (JSU) with below details:

  4. Configure the details on the create transition and Publish the workflow.

  5. Verify by creating a sample ticket as shown in the following gif file.

  • Ensure the Sprint field is associated with respective project and screens as per the requirement.

  • It is recommended to test this scenario in a non-production environment before implementing it in a production environment.
