How to retrieve debug logs of the JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows app

This article explains how to retrieve the debug logs of the JSU Automation Suite for Jira Workflows app in Jira.

Instructions

  1. Log into your Jira instance as Jira administrator and navigate to (Cog Wheel) > System > Logging and Profiling page.

     

  2. In the Default Loggers section, click the Configure link as shown in the below screenshot:

     

  3. Add Package name as com.googlecode.jsu and ch.beecom.jira.jsu, select Logging Level as DEBUG, and click Add to apply the changes.

     



  4. The added packages can be seen under the Package name:

     

     

  5. Perform the action that is causing the issue again.

  6. Generate a support zip file and share/save it as required.

Generate a support zip file

  1. Log into a Jira instance as an administrator and navigate to (Cog Wheel) > System > Troubleshooting and support tools.

     

  2. Select Create support zip tab and click Create zip

     

  3. Once the support zip is generated, click Download zip

     

These packages remain in the Jira instance until the next time Jira restarts. Once the instance is restarted, these packages will be removed from the logging level list and will have to be added again to get the debug information related to JSU configuration.
