Before You Begin
You must be a Jira administrator to carry out the instructions on this page.
- Check Version Compatibility — Before you install or upgrade the JSU app, ensure that you using a version of the app that is compatible with your Jira version. See the version compatibility matrix on the Atlassian Marketplace for the app: JSU app.
Browser requirements for the JSU app match the relevant Jira requirements. See the Jira Supported Browser page for the version of Jira that you are using.
You need a license for JSU. You can use a free Evaluation license for 30 days. Learn about our pricing tiers in our Marketplace listing.
Limitations
JSU Cloud can only be used to customize the workflows of company-managed (Classic) projects in Jira. Within your workflows, however, you can create automation rules that relate to issues in team-managed (Next-gen) projects. Learn more about configuring rules for related issues in JSU's Configuration Guide. To learn more about the differences between company-managed and team-managed projects, refer to Atlassian's Jira Software project type comparison.
Installing the JSU App
Installing the JSU app is no different to from installing any other Jira add-ons (see Managing add-ons in the Jira documentation).
To install the JSU app:
Click the
'Jira
Setting' link on the left bar and choose 'Apps' and Click on 'Manage apps'.- Click the 'Find new apps' under Manage Apps to go to 'Atlassian Marketplace' section.
- Type 'JSU' in
Settings cog in the top right of your Jira instance and select Apps.
Type
enterJSU
in the search field and hitEnter
.The JSU app
will appeardisplays.
Click the button toSelect the app, then click Try it Free to install it.
Click Start Free Trial. A confirmation message and the app details
willdisplay

is installed successfully.- Be aware, that you need a license since JSU version 1.0.0 . You might choose an evaluation license for the first 30 days.
Updating the JSU App
Updating the JSU app is also no different to updating any other Jira app (see Managing add-ons in the Jira documentation), i.e.
To update the JSU app:
- Click the 'Jira Setting' link on the left bar to open the Jira administration console.
- Click the 'Manage apps' link under the 'Adds' section in the left menu. You will see all the apps installed on your Jira instance.
- Find JSU in the list.
- Click the 'Update'.
installs successfully.
